The app is developed by the developers at Indian government to protect and help the spread of corona-virus. Aarogya Setu App basically is location and nearby tracking app that keeps users informed against the coronavirus.

You can easily install Aarogya Setu in both android and iOS smartphones and uses your mobile GPS and bluetooth to keep you alerted.

It is available in 11 different languages and on top of that you get E-pass facility. If you are need of traveling by train then you need to have Aarogya Setu App installed on your smartphone. If you go out of your home then the Aarogya Setu app keeps track of you and keeps you up to date by sending you an alert notification if some corona virus positive or someone having symptoms of corona.

The application basically works on contact tracing method, which alerts users by keeping them safe from infected area that is under risk and has been quarantined by the govt. And on top of that, the app alerts you with notification sounds and messages if you have been exposed to any COVID patients.

For an instance, If a person if a person let say A goes out and get in touch with a person B who is not COVID positive then the app will not send warning signal but if the person B gets infected with COVID-19 the application will send notification to A and all those people who got in contact with B.

This app working feature is very simple and at the same time is very effective as it keeps tracks of all your travel history in the same way Google Map does but Aarogya Setu uses bluetooth too. So all the person who got in contact with person B will get alert notification.

Aarogya Setu has 4 basic color identification to show different risk of infections, the Red color notification shows that you are COVID positive, orange color shows high level of risk, where as yellow color shows medium level of risk, and if the app shows green color then you are not at risk and level is very very low.
You get direct contact details of all the helpline number of state as well as central government. With the data collected by Aarogya Setu app (with consent of user), government can take immediately required actions to stop the spread of coronavirus.
And by any chance if you get infected with virus, it also gives you detailed instruction on how to isolate yourself, and what actions you need to take if you have COVID symptoms. There is video section in the app that provides you with latest videos on giving proper awareness. Aargoya Setu app initiative is also appreciated by World Bank.
